Kelly got burnt when she was two-years-old and was always taught that she was just a normal kid like everyone else and so she didn't know life any different.
Kelly has learned through the years that she is unique in that when she has a dream or desire to do something, she just DOES IT.
When she wanted to plan a balloon decorating convention and someone told her no, she couldn't do it, she proved him wrong. When she decided she wanted to have a mobile scrapbook store and her husband agreed, she did it. When she wanted to get on the Dragons' Den tv show, she got selected to present to the dragons. When she wanted to know if men in wheelchairs could have sex she produced a documentary about it. When people asked her to speak at their events, she just did it. She didn't let fear get in the way or doubt her self.
In fact, she would tell her fearful inner voice to take a HIKE and let her FEARLESS inner voice take over!

Kelly won the FIERCE Woman of the Year Award!
EVERY WOMAN - FASHION HAS NO BORDERS COMPETITION
March 2010, Kelly accomplished one of her greatest fears ever; being a runway model. Kelly never thought she would ever be beautiful enough to be considered a model until she saw on facebook that Ben Barry's agency was a major sponsor in an event called the Every Woman search for Fashion Has No Borders Fashion Expose.
Kelly nominated herself for the event and was selected out of 1500 nominees to be one of the top 31 women to compete for the top 10. She competed on Feb 20 at the Cross Iron Mills in the speech competition and then walked the runway. To hear more about her speeches, check out her blog. Kelly was quite excited to hear her name being called as one of the Top Ten.
Top Ten meant that she had to come back on March 20/10 to walk the runway, face Ben Barry, Jeanne Beker and FHNB judges to see if she is selected to be the Every Woman winner.
